This knowledge followed us to the Netherlands, where we continue to run WabiSabi Massage, a private therapeutic skin & body studio for women in Almere.

Among the many bespoke treatments offered, one cosmetic connective tissue treatment was performed using pure Prickly Pear Seed Oil. Over time, clients consistently shared their appreciation for how their skin felt calmer, smoother and visibly refreshed.

For years, this oil was offered in a low-threshold way to loyal salon clients, shared through experience rather than marketing. Today, we consciously choose to bring this hidden treasure to a wider audience, under our own name.

The Prickly Pear is often also called the Desert Pear. Its tiny seeds and the precious oil drawn from them inspired our name. To us, they are the true Pearls of the desert.

Extracting this remarkable oil is an art of patience. Around one million seeds are needed to produce just one litre, making Prickly Pear Seed Oil one of the world's most precious and labour-intensive botanical oils.

While Moroccan Argan oil has become widely known around the world, Prickly Pear Seed oil remains a hidden treasure. Yet it is naturally richer, containing exceptionally high levels of vitamin E and omega-6 & 9 fatty acids. We believe its moment is still to come.

By working directly with local producers in southern Morocco and being personally involved throughout production, we maintain complete oversight from harvest to bottle. This close partnership allows us to preserve exceptional craftsmanship, uncompromising purity and the authentic quality that defines every drop of our Organic Desert Gold.
